Water and the Womb

I recently attended a Woman's gathering to pray for our waters. After a very powerful water ceremony, a woman spoke of the "emergency" we are facing at this time on this planet. With the conditions in the Gulf of Mexico, the "emergency" is definitely felt. I feel this is also a time of "emergence." These challenging times are calling for people to step up to prayer, step up to consciousness, healing, respect, truth, and love. I feel those things emerging in me and I am looking into how I can nourish them and help them grow. Because it is an emergency, the world needs these things, right now. The world needs us to take responsibility for our thoughts, words, actions and to wake up to every moment. This sweet Mama Earth that we are living on needs us to wake up to our love for her and her eternal love for us.

As women, we are water carriers. Our wombs hold water. And for those who no longer or never had a uterus, the body holds the memory of the water. Water is life. We hold life in our bellies. It has been very powerful for me to just put my hands over my womb and feel her, and let her relax, to love her and honor her. I was also blessed to go on a prayer fast recently. I had the opportunity to sit on this sweet Mama Earth naked, hold my womb, and feel the life in my womb connect with the life in the Earth. Being a water carrier, I also feel a responsibility to pray with the water every morning. I take a glass of water and talk to her, thank her, pray for healing for her and offer some up (or down) to Mama Earth. Dr. Masaru Emoto created a beautiful prayer for the Gulf that's about taking responsibility, without judgment, for the healing of the water...

Dr. Masaru Emoto's Healing Prayer for the Gulf

"I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the
living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings.
To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, plankton, coral,
algae, and all living creatures . . .
... I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you. "

When we wake up to the sacredness and to the life within us, we wake up to and honor the life in all things.

I give thanks for the life in me and the life in all things. Holy One, I pray for healing and love for all my relations. Thank you. I love you.
